David P. Groth, D.D.S.

David Groth received his dental degree from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry in 1979. Since then he has been very active in continuing education, attending approximately 50 hours a year. He has participated in some of the finest centers for dental education including the Pankey Institute for Continuing Education and the Kois Center for Dental Excellence. His emphasis has been in restorative and cosmetic dentistry.

He is a member of the following dental organizations:

  4. 4. American Academy of General Dentistry
  5. 5. Francis B. Vedder Society of Crown and Bridge Prosthodontics

In addition, Dr. Groth has been active in local dental societies having served on the Peer Review Committee. He also participates in the Donated Dental Service program. This program provides dental services, at no charge, for those who have difficulty affording quality dental care.

Dr. Groth married his wife Lynn in 1976. They have 3 grown children. Elizabeth is married to Nick, and they have two young sons Brett and William. Elizabeth works in Beaumont Hospital's Center for Human Development tuitoring chidren with learning disabilities.  Christian is married to Kelly They have a daughter named Reese and a son named Tyler or TJ.  Christian is an orthodontist and is a partner in the TDR' Orthodontic practice. They have offices in Birmingham, Rochester Hills and Novi.  Brayton is a graduate of Michigan State. He has recently completed training in vascular ultrasound and is working with a vasular surgeon in Westland  Dr.Groth enjoys golfing, fishing and almost all racquet sports.


Jeanette has been a dental assistant since 1971. After working in the dental field for a few years she went back to school to become a Certified Dental Assistant(CDA). This certification and her extensive experience enables her to perform expanded duties. She has been working with Dr. Groth since 1991.

She was married in 1968 and lives with her husband Gary in Berkley. She has two grown children and six grandchildren. Jeanette enjoys inline skating, biking and gardening in her spare time.



Kathie R.D.H.

Kathie graduated in 1978 from Oakland Community College Dental Hygiene School. She has been actively licensed and practicing since that time. Kathie has taught dental hygiene at Oakland Community College. She has been with Dr. Groth since 1997. Some of her roles as a hygienist include oral cancer screening, periodontal screening, tooth decay screening, oral hygiene instruction, prophylaxis (cleanings) and dental sealants. She is licensed in local anesthetic delivery and nitrous oxide sedation. Kathie is a member of the Periodontal Study Club, the American Dental Hygiene Association, Michigan Dental Hygiene Association and the Oakland County Dental Hygiene Association. She stays current in her profession by taking continuing education classes in periodontal disease (gum disease), new product information, CPR/AED and all other current issues. She enjoys working with both children and adults.

Kathie and her husband bave been married since 1974 and live in Royal Oak. She has two grown children, a daughter and a son who are both married. In her spare time Kathie enjoys gardening, reading, rollerblading and assisting others in need.



Sharon attended Oakland Community College where she studied Business Administration. She has been working in the dental profession since 1985 primarily performing administrative duties but able to help out with dental assisting when needed. She has been with Dr. Groth since 1999.

Sharon has been married since 1976 and has two grown sons, one of whom is married, and just blessed the family with theri first granddaughter.


Vivian, R.D.H.

Vivian graduated from Oakland Community College School of Dental Hygiene with a degree in Applied Science in 1981. She is board certified in the administration of local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation. Vivian has 28 years of experience as a dental hygienist including 10 years working in the office of a periodontist (gum specialist). She is a member of the Periodontal Study Club and has participated in many dental education programs at schools and hospitals. Vivian has worked with Dr. Groth since 1998. Her roles include providing clinical and therapeutic dental hygiene services, taking digital radiographs, periodontal management and maintenance as well patient education.

Vivian has been married since 1973 and has two grown children, one of whom is married.  They have two daughters. She and her husband reside in White Lake Township. Vivian enjoys film, theater and traveling to visit close friends and family. She also enjoys weight lifting as a part of her regular exercise routine and strives to live a healthy lifestyle.


Lisa Belbeck

Lisa joined us last year when Amy went back to school.  She has been working as an administration assistant for 15 years.  She has also worked in home health care for 20 years.  She has joined Sharon at the front desk handling a wide variety of responsibilities.  She has done a fantastic job learning the many facets of dental health science.

Lisa is married to Ray.  She has 5 children and 3 grandchildren.  They also have 2 certified therapy dogs that Lisa uses when she volunteers working with patients under hospice care.
